Home visits are conducted yearly when a new family enrolls or if a student has frequent attendance issues.
New families that become part of HAPA will be visited by the bilingual parent coordinator, program assistant and other staff members. During this visit, parents will learn more about HAPA and have the opportunity to ask questions. During the home visits, families will be asked to complete an input survey to help HAPA learn how to better support their child.
In the case that a student is habitually absent, a home visit by the coordinator and program assistant will be conducted. Daily attendance is crucial for any student’s academic achievement.
