Creative Sharp Literacy Program

The Creative Sharp literacy program is available to students in second through fifth grade. The teachers and presenters of this program work collaboratively with students to understand history and science through art. Students are provided visual arts, art history, workbooks and reading materials that correlate with the Wisconsin Model Academic Standards.

Danceworks

Each year students in fourth through fifth grade participate in Danceworks Mad Hot Ballroom and Tap Dance program. Students are provided with a Danceworks instructor for 12 weeks in either tap dance (fourth grade) or ballroom dance (fifth grade) for two hours a week. At the completion of the program, students will perform for their school and participate in an event that includes a program-wide competition and exhibition at the Bradley Center.

Field Studies

Educational field studies are an integral part of HAPA and give students first-hand experiences. Field studies are planned with pre-study activities and instruction, as well as a post-study wrap-up where students debrief and apply what they have learned.
