International Peace Academy "High School"
The International Peace Academy (IPA) is a career and college preparatory school that opened its doors in the fall of 2008 with its first class of freshman. Since then each year the school has added one grade level. In 2012, IPA had its very first graduating senior class.
The Academy offers a unique environment. The course work is geared toward preparing all students for college entry and success. Class sizes are small allowing students to receive the individual feedback necessary for academic growth. Electives are channeled into a career study that gives the student advanced experience in a professional field of study.
Mentorship is also provided to assist students in reaching college entry expectations. Students are encouraged to take advantage of precollege programming offered at local and state Universities throughout the school year and summer months. High standards, small class sizes, channeled electives, mentorship, and precollege opportunities all consolidate to produce well prepared graduates who can meet the challenges of postsecondary schooling. |
