Dear HAPA’s Families,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year. The theme this year is “Great Today, Better Tomorrow!” At HAPA, we are always striving for a better tomorrow for our scholars as HAPA is transformational. The scholar, the family, the community and the city all are transformed by HAPA’s mission and investment.
HAPA’s MISSION STATEMENT:
HAPA provides students with rigorous academics, character development, and Hmong cultural values, preparing them to excel in colleges, universities and careers.
HAPA’s VISION STATEMENT:
HAPA students enjoy college and career success, value Hmong cultural heritage, and exhibit responsible and peaceful leadership in local and global communities.
I’m happy to announce that the front entrance improvement project in the Primary/Middle School building has been completed. If you have not seen it, below is a photo of the improvement.
Another improvement project HAPA is engaged in is the HS Athletic Field, which is scheduled to be completed in late November. Our scholars are very excited and eager to utilize it.
Announcement: HAPA will be hosting a parent meeting on Thursday, September 22nd from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the high school building regarding our academic strategic plan. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to Mrs. Pang Xiong at 414.800.1797.
Once again, welcome to a new school year and “Great Today, Better Tomorrow!”

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! The first week of school went by in a flash. It is wonderful to see our scholars walk the hallways with a purpose and fill the classrooms excited to learn and engage with their teachers.
HAPA has been strategic in hiring teachers to continue to provide the arts for our scholars. This year we are able to offer art, music, and theatre to our middle and high school scholars.
As we strive to provide the very best education for our scholars, we are looking for additional team members to join us as IT Assistants, Kitchen Assistants, Secretaries, and Paraprofessionals (must have at least 48 college credits). Please reach out to me if you or anyone you know is interested. I look forward to another exciting school year!

Greetings, HAPA Families!
We are so very excited to welcome our scholars back to school and to continue connecting with you at our family engagement events here on the HAPA campus this year. It was great to see so many of you at 9th grade Orientation, Registration, and Open House. With fewer restrictions in place for visiting our campus as we enter the new school year, we hope to strengthen our partnership with our families in the service of your scholars’ needs. In addition to attending whatever on-campus events you are able to, please continue to check your email for important updates and information, monitor your scholar’s academic progress on Teacherease, and never hesitate to reach out to your scholars’ teachers, principals or our HAPA leadership team with any questions.
Last year was a challenging one for our scholars and staff with the return to school after over a year of “virtual” learning and continued COVID disruptions throughout the year. It was also a year to be proud of as our scholars of all ages readjusted to life at school and recovered much of the learning that had been compromised by the pandemic. We saw scholars make great progress in all divisions, both academically and socially, and only expect more growth in the year ahead. We are also excited to see our scholars get more involved in the many extracurricular activities that will be offered at HAPA this year. As your scholars return to school, please take time to talk to them about pursuing their interests or trying something new outside of the classroom this year.

Hello HAPA community! The beginning of a school year is always a special time of year. It’s such a joy to see all the scholars ready to learn, reunite with their friends, and make forever memories. It is also a time to give thanks to our families for all their hard work and dedication to ensuring their scholars get a high-quality education. I’m confident that this school year will be a great one.
This summer was filled with many projects that we are very excited about including painting, new whiteboards, a new front entrance and continued construction on the soccer fields. We hope your scholars enjoy the many enhancements we continue to make and look forward to what’s next.
I wish each of our families a year full of learning, laughter, and great memories. We are HAPA!
